Meet our Chef

Jared began culinary school at 23, driven by his passion for food. Recognizing the all-or-nothing nature of the profession, he fully committed himself. While studying, Jared gained experience at Max and Erma's and later at Edgewood Country Club in Commerce, where he learned the art of competition from his mentor, David Daniot, C.E.C.

After graduating, Jared became a Sous Chef at the Birmingham Athletic Club. Seeking broader experience, he transitioned to public restaurants, working in various independent establishments, wine bars, and catering services. In 2012, he participated in the "International Shellfish Competition" in Prince Edward Island, invited by the Canadian consulate. Although he did not win, Jared was undeterred.

Jared helped launch prominent restaurants across metro Detroit and competed on Fox's Hell's Kitchen, finishing in 4th place. He returned home to serve as the executive chef at a Detroit yacht club and was later invited back for an All-Stars season of Hell’s Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay.

Continuing to open top restaurants in southeast Michigan, Jared also managed hospitality cabins for major corporate sponsors at The Masters and other prestigious golf tournaments worldwide. He expanded into private dining, offering guests unique, curated culinary experiences at home.

Jared later became the culinary director for Ventures Events, orchestrating Wine & Food Experience events in 11 cities nationwide. Now settled in West Bloomfield, Jared brings his extensive knowledge and expertise to Vive, providing a truly unique dining experience.
